Exactly the Cuban meal I was looking for! The carne con papas daily special and cubano sandwich pure pork perfection. Fried plantains, corn rice, black beans like being at a family dinner. Service was friendly and amazing. Cute local family place!
From the food to the service, this place is AMAZING! Since we moved up from South Florida (Miami), we have not had authentic Cuban food. Best Cuban Sandwich and their Corn rice is flavorful. This is our go to spot when coming up from Citrus County.
Havana is our "go to" favorite restaurant! Food is always great and servers are very friendly! Also a manager always stops by to see if he can help with anything!

LOVE Cafe Havana. Delicious Cuban food with authentic home style seasoning. Generous servings for a reasonable price. The owners are amazing, the staff is friendly and the service prompt. I especially enjoy the shots of Cortadito after my meal as a courtesy from management.
Cafe Havana has wonderful food, coffee and people. The service is always top notch here and the ambiance is laid back. They have amazing breakfast and lunch. Would highly recommend if you're looking for fantastic Cuban food.

We've been traveling from Missouri to Florida and had the very best meal so far at Cafe Havana. We had to wait in short line, but customer in front of told us he eats here 3X a week. We know why now. We told them we were newbies so they fixed us plates of plantains, yellow rice, pulled pork and Spicy steak. I left comfort zone and tried the chick peas instead of black... delicious. We left stuffed, but happy.
Wow, what a find! Just passing through Ocala on the way to the gulf and we found this wonderful little hole in the wall. Both the shredded beef and the roasted pork were so full of flavor! I had the coconut rice and found it a little bland and pasty but my wife's yellow rice was great and enough for us both. We were served a complementary taste of the cuban coffee and it was so wonderful that we each had to buy a full size cup. This is counter service so much much to talk about except regarding service except for that nice gesture of the coffee taste. The place is a bit of a dive but in a good way. You know when there is a line at the door containing local law enforcement that the place is a winner!
